Thank you for your interest in donating to my Team Vogel vs. Cancer Fundraiser.
What: NYC Marathon: I'll be running my 12th marathon this fall in honor of my late cousin, Joe Vogel, and in support of Team Vogel vs Cancer to raise funds for families in the Winona, MN area who are battling cancer.
Where: New York City. I'll be one of about 50,000 others trotting all five city boroughs from Staten Island, through Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx, before finishing in Central Park.
When: Training through summer 2022. Race is November 6, 2022.
Why: My cousin, Joe Vogel, has been a true inspiration to me and so many other people. I've used his amazing personality and spirit to power through many tough times in life, especially in the races I've run. I feel it's my duty to give back to those who bring a smile to my face and to pay it forward to those who could use a helping hand. In addition to this being my 12th marathon, it's also my third of six World Marathon Majors I have on my bucket list for completing. Beyond NYC are Berlin, London and Tokyo.
Goal: $2,620 - Despite the difficulty of completing a single marathon (26.2 miles), it pales in comparison to the struggle a cancer patient and their family has to go through. This amount reflects a total per mile pledge of $100 that I hope you can help me attain.
Be it a $10, $26.2, $52.40, or $100 donation, or simply sharing this fundraiser with your network of family, friends, coworkers, and complete strangers, your help is greatly appreciated. :)
Don't Stop Believin,
Dan Vogel
