I just wanted to pop on here quick this morning. I can't thank everyone enough for all their support this weekend. The 2nd Annual Team Vogel vs Cancer Fundraiser was an overwhelming success. Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend possible. We are working hard to get a grand total of our fundraising efforts and also to get pictures that truly captured the weekend. It is amazing to live someone's dream. Love - Rach

It was the worst summer of my life but yet the best too. I was able to see an amazing man - find the strength to live each day to the fullest and give his all to others. As I sometimes find myself overwhelmed - I can hear Joe saying, "It will all work out Rach. It will all work out." As I look through these pictures - I know it will all work out...Joe Vogel - you inspire me everyday to be a better person - thank you for that! Enjoy the photos from the 2010 Team Vogel vs Cancer Fundraiser... His smile was infectious and everyone was smiling and will be this year too.

Rach's Thoughts for the Week...Trust - Not always any easy thing to do. I've found one area that is especially hard for me is trusting that others will get Joe's Journey. This weekend I was overwhelmed and truly touched by the article that was written in the WInona Post. Cynthia Porter took the time to get to know Joe (through me) and wrote a wonderful article that really shed light on what Team Vogel is all about - it's about all of us. Thank you Cynthia for putting his life into words ... words that fit and painted his life accurately.
As we continue to plan and prepare for the big fundraiser - I miss Joe more and more. It is hard to do this without him here. Although there were days we were at each other (we organized things very differently - he was left handed and I am right :) ), we did it together. It is a true honor to do this and keep Joe's dream alive, but it still hurts. I miss his chicken scratch notes all over the house - his hand written lists of volunteers - I miss everything about him...the smile that was always on his face when he was working on Team Vogel things. It was everything to him - he lived by his words. I know your watching over everything Mr. Joe - but I will never stop wishing you were sitting beside me cracking stupid jokes to make me laugh :). 143 Love - Rach |
