Surviving and Embracing Moments...
As I see things spinning out of control, I remind myself to step back and take life in smaller pieces. I remind myself to enjoy the moment I'm in and stop dreading what needs to be done or has not been completed. (Often easier said than done...)
Last night I was in the company of great friends, family and strangers (that I would now consider friends too). I was able to embrace the moment and celebrate the marriage of two amazing people. The love, laughter and fun that was shared was truly a fun time. And...We all got to wear skinny jeans, boots and puffy coats!
As I was driving home this morning - my brain was once again in high gear... need to get here, do this, try and stop there...I pulled into the post office to grab my mail and I was taken back. There was a letter and donation from Altura Christmas Tea Committee. I'm still speechless and thankful for their kind donation to Team Vogel. Thank you does not seem like enough... I hope you know how appreciative we are - to you - and to all who embrace the "Pay it Forward" way and help Joe's dream live on. Thank you - Thank you - Thank you!
I also took a moment to open all the Christmas cards that waited. I love getting Christmas cards. I like seeing pictures of families as they grow. I enjoy reading the notes / letters that accompany them too.
When life spins at an uncomfortable pace - hold tight to the moments that matter and accomplish what you can.

Miss Zoe loves to be outside, run through the brush - chase the ball... I was outside last Saturday, trying to give some medicine to the farm cats and in walked this wonderful treat...
