Decided it was time to kick back and get out of town for a bit. So - it was off to the airport on Friday morning...destination = Kansas City to visit my friend Amy.

No better way to start off a great weekend - PEDICURES. (Amy's first one ever.)
After some shopping - we need refreshments and wanted to show off our new eye shadow.

Saturdays Mission - Find the ugliest dress at Goodwill and fix it up to be a fun outfit for a night on the town...
Mission Accomplished - a fun sassy dress to show a little leg.
A little tuck here and there (and sewing the dress in 5 inches), Amy is ready to rock the crowd.
A comfy outfit for an evening on the town. (Almost a fashion disaster for the first cut made my outfit a belly shirt...Fixed it!)
The neighbor's dog that we saved. Could have been a sad ending, but the car missed him and he jumped into my arms in the car and we safely returned him to a overjoyed owner.
Well - signing off here, for I need to finish the cupcake decorating, get packed for the trip home and enjoy an intense game of croquet on the plaza.
