I made it home safely last night. It was tough to come back. Being in Georgia was wonderful – great company, awesome food (I did pack on a “few” lbs.), perfect weather, and the beach.
I can’t thank my aunt and uncle enough for having me. I had a blast and would give anything to be back at their condo sitting by the pool (I liked to say I was marketing their rental with the new friends I made.) Everything about my time gone was good therapy – but one thing stood out to me…I didn’t get very good cell service and I chose to leave my computer at home. I took a break from technology and it WAS AWESOME.
Sometimes I feel I get all caught up in life (easy to do), emails, phone calls…texts, and I don’t take time to enjoy the people I am with. It was wonderful to sit and have conversations with others and truly enjoy their humor, thoughts and wisdom. Although life goes wherever you go – I truly feel like I found a part of me that was lost (I just hope it stays now – I can’t get back to the beach for a bit.) Sometimes it just takes getting away to realize – you can do it, there are many good times ahead, and although some days you take two steps, there will always be days you take two forward.
So – One thing I don’t enjoy as much right now is taking pictures…I always feel like something is missing. Someday, I will love it again, but for now I will share photos from past trips to the beach and a picture a friend took for me…I hope she knows how much it means to me. Here’s to an awesome trip, warmer weather coming soon (I hope), and having my Zoe cuddled up next to me snoring.
