The Families...

As Team Vogel continues to "Pay It Forward", I would like to announce the 10 families that have been selected to receive funds raised, along with Gundersen Lutheran and Franciscan Skemp, from our 2011 fundraising efforts.

It is an honor to meet each of these families (by phone and in person).  I wish our paths did not cross for this reason, but your strength and determination is overwhelming.  Team Vogel and everyone out there - meet the families.

Thoughts for the week -

My thoughts are few this evening.  I just returned home from a wonderful weekend in Chicago. I lived, laughed and relaxed.  Now - I need to unpack :).

Wow. I don't even know what to say, Rachel. A friend of mine just told me about Team Vogel Vs Cancer and what a surprise to discover it's you. It just goes to prove what I'm always telling people (and just told I the other day).... you never know what other people are dealing with at home. I am so sorry to hear about your husband and the pain you must have lived through. I lost my father to cancer that spread to his brain 7 years ago. You are such an amazing and generous person with such a beautiful spirit. You truly inspire me. Wow.

Joe Vogel began his battle with cancer in 2006. He became a leader in his community and a hero among his friends and family. He made it his personal mission to help in the fight against cancer. His wife Rachel is carrying out his dream to help families dealing with cancer and to find a cure for this disease.
